The MOQ reality most quotes leave out

The per-unit price you are shown assumes a production volume. Below the floor, fabric and filler mills charge scrap minimums and the unit cost climbs. For custom plush:

  • Pilot: ~100–500 pcs — highest unit cost, lowest commitment. Good for market testing.
  • Small batch: 500–999 pcs — unit cost starts to fall as setup spreads.
  • Bulk: 1,000–4,900 pcs — real economies of scale begin.
  • Mass run: 5,000+ pcs — lowest unit cost, longest lead time.

Requesting a quote at your actual target volume matters more than the headline "from $X". A price quoted at 5,000 units is meaningless if you need 200.
